Trainee Accountant

Description:

An Accountancy practice based in Kilkenny city has an opportunity available for a Trainee Accountant/ Accounting Technician. You will join a Practice that is dynamic, growing and prides themselves on offering the services and standards of a global Practice but on a local level.

Study support will be provided.

Supporting a Qualified Accountant managing a portfolio of clients the successful individual will be required to assist with the following:

• Ensuring timely processing of purchase invoices
• Training clients on accounting systems and processes
• Raising and issuing weekly sales invoices on behalf of clients
• Ensure clients provide accurate and timely documentation and information
• Monthly creditor reconciliations
• Bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance
• Processing of VAT returns and ensuring compliance to filing deadlines
• Other ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting desirable but not essential
• Currently studying or open to studying towards Accounting Technician and Chartered Accountancy Qualification
• Previous experience workinng in an Accounting Practice is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Accuracy is key in a fast-paced environment
