Description:
To serve as the ADON of the 100 Bed Raheny Community Nursing Unit.
- To manage the service delivery within the 100 bed unit in an effective and efficient manner.
- To ensure compliance with all legislation relating to Residential Care Settings including the Health Act 2007.
- To ensure compliance with the HIQA National Standards for Residential Care, Settings for Older People in Ireland.
- To ensure the delivery of a quality service to residents.
- To act as the Peron-in-charge (PIC) or Deputy Person-in-charge where applicable.
Responsibilities
Principal duties & Responsibilities:
- To be a highly competent, knowledgeable practitioner in the care of the older person.
- To maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct.
- To provide innovative and effective leadership, management, support and advice to nursing and allied staff at all levels.
- To provide guidance to all staff in the implementation of the unit policies, procedures and guidelines.
- To ensure compliance with Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA) regulations.
- To ensure daily activities are provided for residents in accordance with Best Practice and in keeping with Older People in Residential Care Settings and regulations.
- To ensure nursing staff adhere to standards and guidelines relating to professional nursing practice and behaviour.
- To ensure robust systems are in place for the management of complaints.
- To ensure a high quality driven service in a home environment setting.
- To act as the Peron-in-charge (PIC) or Deputy Person-in-charge where applicable.
