Description:
My client a public services company have an opening for a Climate & Sustainability Lead for their offices Nationwide.
The role involves ensuring that the RSA is compliant with all relevant legislation and returns in relation to climate actions and sustainability. They will need to develop an annual plan and a long-term plan to meet these goals.
The role includes but is not limited to responsibility for:
Climate Action Plan – To review, advise and drive this plan to ensure it reflects the climate and sustainability goals of the authority in line with best practice and government legislation.
- SEAI annual returns – To assist with the annual SEAI energy returns to ensure correct data is captured and forwarded to the SEAI.
- Staff training and education – To assist with staff training and education in relation to Climate and Sustainability. This is an important element of the Climate Action Plan and government climate action mandate.
- To review company buildings in relation to climate and sustainability and to advise on improvements that the authority can implement where possible.
- To review and advise in relation to climate and sustainability in relation to company fleet vehicles and to advise on improvements that the authority can implement where possible.
- To play an active role in the Energy Team which was established as part of the companies Climate action Plan.
- Reporting to senior management – Report to Chief leadership Team (CLT) on Climate and Sustainability.
- Reporting on benefits to the company in relation to climate and sustainability e.g. cost savings, reduction in emissions.
