Data Engineer

Description:

You’ll work alongside a small but dedicated Data Team, reporting to the Data Manager, and collaborate with one other Data Engineer and a Systems Analyst.

This is a hybrid role offering the chance to contribute to both operational and strategic projects — with a strong emphasis on independence, ownership, and technical depth.

Your Responsabilities
 

• End-to-end development and maintenance of the data warehouse
• Integrate new data sources and manage evolving data access and security
• Structure and prepare data to support business reporting (you won’t build reports, but you’ll enable them)
• Use a toolset that includes SSMS, Visual Studio, DevOps, DAX, and SSAS
• Balance ongoing support tasks with strategic project opportunities
• Get hands-on with Microsoft Business Central, as well as internal policy and claims systems
   

Your Experience & Education
 

• 7+ years in data engineering
• Strong SQL Server skills (SSMS, DAX, SSAS)
• Demonstrated experience in on-premise data warehousing
• Self-starter attitude — confident working independently in a lean team
• Experience with cloud migration projects
• Financial services or insurance industry exposure
• Familiarity with DevOps, Visual Studio, Power BI (Nice to have)
