The Development Manager is a new full-time role offering the opportunity to join PhotoIreland at an exciting moment in its development. We are an ambitious organisation with a strong commitment to photography and visual culture in Ireland and internationally.

As part of our passionate and collaborative team, the Development Manager will play an important role in shaping the future of the organisation within a dynamic, hands-on working environment. This role is suited to someone who is proactive, organised, and comfortable balancing a range of responsibilities, while contributing to projects and services valued by artists, students, researchers, and communities across Ireland and beyond.

The successful candidate will lead income generation across commercial partnerships, philanthropy, trusts, foundations, public bodies, and international funders, helping to support and grow PhotoIreland’s diverse portfolio of projects. They will also play a key role in strengthening our position as a leading organisation.

This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to help shape how we sustain and grow our work at a pivotal time, as the organisation expands its programmes, develops the International Centre for the Image, and delivers its new strategic plan.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced manager and impact-oriented fundraiser who works collaboratively to build partnerships, develop new relationships, and increase revenue generation from a diverse range of sources, reporting directly to the Executive Director.

The post holder needs to have a track record in fundraising from a broad range of sources, with a particular emphasis on opening new opportunities. The post holder should have experience of preparing funding applications to public and private funders, as well as successfully managing relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders. The post holder will contribute to the development function with the objective of securing long-term sustainable support for PhotoIreland’s artistic, educational, and public programmes.
