Freight Coordinator

Description:

We’re supporting a long-standing freight forwarder in Dublin that’s expanding its operations and looking for a motivated professional to take ownership of international shipments. If you enjoy managing the full freight cycle and want to work with a company that values your expertise, this role is a great next step.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient movement of cargo across global markets. Your daily tasks will include:
• Handling door-to-door shipments across air, ocean, and road
• Coordinating with carriers, hauliers, and global partners
• Managing bookings, documentation, and delivery schedules
• Preparing customs entries and ensuring compliance with Irish/EU regulations
• Monitoring cargo movements and providing timely updates to clients
• Delivering excellent service and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Completing freight billing, job costing, and accurate file management

What You Bring

• 2+ years’ experience with an Ireland-based freight forwarder
• Solid understanding of multimodal freight operations
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
• Experience using systems like Cargowise, Multifreight, or similar
• Excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail
• A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
