Global Corporate Software Category Expert

Description:

This leading technology services company is looking to hire an individual with a strong track record building strategic partnerships with these, and other, key software supplier whilst also managing a small team of 3 global buyers for software sub-categories.

You will be directly managing a global software spend of over €100M and be part of a strategic global software category team that handles over €500M in software spend per year for the company.

This job will position you as the most senior category manager below the Software Procurement Director, making you a first choice in succession planning to take over the Director level position in the coming years.

As the Global Corporate Software Category Expert you will be expected to:-

• Lead negotiations with top global software vendors including Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Ivalua, Coupa, etc.
• Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders on all matters relating to global software services procurement
• Provide leadership, training and guidance to your team of 3 global buyers to ensure their success
• Deliver long-term global category management strategy to leverage business volume and future demand
• Ensure effective delivery of global category strategy across the network of local buyers worldwide
• Challenge internal IT business stakeholders on their requirements and cost budgeting
