Lead Data Engineer

Description:

The lead data engineer will lead a multi-disciplined team of 5-7 engineers.

You'll work closely with design and architecture teams to understand and deliver a data transformation project.

You'll play a key role in how data warehouses are set up along with designing and building reporting systems and pipelines.

The Person

You'll have a strong background in Data Engineering, ideally at enterprise level.

You'll have a strong foundation earlier in your career in Object Orientated application development.

You'll have worked on large-scale data processing projects and have experience of data governance.

You'll be comfortable working with Java (or Scala), Apache Spark, SQL and cloud technologies.
