Lead Software Engineer

Description:

In this role, you’ll lead the end-to-end architecture and operation of the Cloud Ingestion Platform, covering everything from high-volume ingestion pipelines to scalable, cloud-native storage layers. You’ll be responsible for building systems that seamlessly handle petabyte-scale data while maintaining top-tier performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.

This is a hybrid role part strategic architecture, part hands-on delivery. You will design secure, cloud-native systems, guide engineering best practices, mentor teams, and help steer the long-term data platform roadmap.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architecting and evolving large-scale cloud ingestion and ETL systems
• Designing and implementing modern ETL pipelines that convert diverse telemetry into clean, structured data models
• Building and optimizing cloud databases and storage systems, including RDS, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Trino, and other lakehouse technologies
• Deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes, ensuring strong scalability and observability
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on performance tuning, capacity planning, and platform reliability
• Driving best practices in cloud security, governance, and data quality

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, Java, or Go
• Deep, hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments
• Strong expertise in ETL pipelines, cloud data storage, and lakehouse technologies (Iceberg / Delta Lake)
• Experience with RDS and Kubernetes
