Offshore Grid Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing grid team and play a key role in supporting SSE's Offshore growth ambitions in Ireland and Internationally, so if you believe that you have skills that would complement the SSE Grid Team, we would be extremely keen to hear from you.

Role

To be considered for a role in the SSE Grid Team we would love you to have some of the following experience:
 

• Knowledge of offshore grid policy in Ireland.
• Knowledge of the Irish transmission system, its operation and current/future challenges.
• Knowledge of Ancillary Services in Ireland.
• Technical knowledge and experience within the transmission/ power generation industry.
• Effective organisation capabilities with the ability to deliver quality work to the agreed timescales along with good report writing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the implications of engineering activities and decisions.
• Ability to interpret and communicate requirements of relevant standards and codes such as the EirGrid Grid Code.
• Grid knowledge to support other international markets such as Europe and Asia-Pacific.
