This is an exciting opportunity is looking for an able person to help us continue being the market leader in Personal Lines Insurance pricing

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build Machine Learning White Box models for Motor and Home Insurance
• Create innovative new rating factors to be the first of their kind in Irish or UK Insurance
• Develop new ways to use vehicle images in Insurance. First up, build an AI Neural Network to predict claims costs from images of crashed vehicles
• Tailor the rating approach to autonomous vehicles and electric cars
• Develop new automated optimisers to optimise profit in fair ways
• Develop new geographical rating factors to predict car accidents, storms, theft, etc,
• Streamline feature engineering scripts to produce rating factors aiming for efficiency and simplicity
• Liaise with the UK Quantum world to leverage UK expertise in pricing
• Manage the implementation of new initiatives through the various sign off stages

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Expert in Machine Learning techniques (desirable)
• Expert in Personal Lines Pricing (desirable)
• Good command of SQL programming
• Be a change agent to overcome cultural resistance to working in more efficient ways
• Able to develop a business case to secure programme funding and resources
• Able to present successes to key stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Must Have: Degree in relevant mathematical/quantitative area
• If an Actuary, you must be qualified
