Senior Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate tender documents, including interpreting drawings, specifications, reports, and scope of work.
• Create internal tender review presentations.
• Attend site visits to assess new project opportunities for tender bids.
• Prepare pricing packages for consultants, subcontractors, and materials using up-to-date estimating software.
• Review and analyze costs of consultants, subcontractors, and materials for effective cost comparison.
• Perform necessary work measurements in line with ARM 4 and updates.
• Identify, manage, and price project risks.
• Engage in correspondence with design teams and tendering authorities during and post tender phases.
• Compile comprehensive project handover reports, along with associated documentation.
• Support the Bid Technical Manager in developing tender applications and work proposals.
• Assist in crafting cost plans, expressions of interest, and presentations for clients and design teams.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree qualification and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in the UK or Ireland (preferably in Residential, Retail/Commercial, or Public works)
• Main contractor experience a distinct advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office packages and experience with databases.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with others.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Valid driver's license.
