Senior It Technician

On behalf of our client a large wholesaler, we are currently seeking a Senior IT Technician with expertise in a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems alongside experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting hardware and software.

The Senior IT technician will be responsible for supporting the IT Manager in managing the IT resources of the Company over several sites. This will include installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware and software components of the organization’s computers and supporting these systems through remote access or site visits as needed.

Some of your Responsibilities will include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and requests
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software across the entire IT and Computer resources of the Companies
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights on the Companies IT Resources
• Manage the O365 Tenant and administer the Sharepoint sites of the Company, and train staff in the use and maintenance of the Sites
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates
• Monitor network activity and performance of fixed and wireless networks

Skills & Experience:

• Knowledge of O365 tenant administration, Sharepoint, Windows Defender and Intune
• Good working knowledge of IP network protocols including the use of communication and file sharing protocols such as ftp, sftp, Filezilla and putty
• Good understanding of databases and willing to learn, understand and help manage the Companys Accounting and CRM Package – K8 – from Kerridge Commercial Systems. Basic knowledge of Unix and Unix scripts
