Senior Kdb+ Developer

Description:

My client is looking for a Senior kdb+ Developer to join their growing team in Dublin. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-performance, scalable solutions for some of the world’s most data-intensive financial institutions. You’ll Lead Tech Delivery on client projects, setting the standard for quality and performance. Design and implement robust kdb+ architecture that handle huge qunatities time-series data.

You’ll collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant, efficient code. Mentor Junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Own life development lifecycle by developing, testing, supporting and maintaining all code for client applications. Stay up to speed in kdb+, q, and adjacent technologies.

5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development, with deep expertise in q and time-series data. Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scaling kdb+ systems in production.Background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting. Experience technical leadership and decision-making in fast-paced projects.

Experience in capital markets or investment banking, good understanding of the domain and its demands. Have a passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement. Good communication skills, used to articulating complex tech to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have: Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or other time-series databases. Experience with tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems. Team leadership or management experience.
