Site Engineer

Description:

A Site Engineer is required for a leading residential developer working on a major 300+ unit housing development in North Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team and play a key role in delivering a large-scale residential project from its very beginning.

The successful candidate will support the project team in setting out, quality control, and site coordination, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a 3-year project with strong potential for continued work on future developments in the area.

Duties:

• Setting out, levelling, and surveying using GPS, total stations, and related equipment.

• Overseeing construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.

• Coordinating closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, and design teams.

• Maintaining daily site records, quality checks, and progress reports.

• Assisting with planning and scheduling of site activities.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

• Supporting materials control, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.

• Solving technical queries and contributing to efficient site delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–4 years’ experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on residential or housing developments.

• Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and quality standards.

• Proficient in setting out equipment, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a site management team.

• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
