Description:
The Supply Chain Transformation Manager, you will play a critical role in optimising the supply chain processes across Ireland and the UK. This individual will be responsible for leading change initiatives, enhancing warehouse operations, improving distribution networks, and ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for warehouse and logistics transformation across multiple warehouses & 3PL partners
- Optimise warehouse layouts, inventory management, and fulfilment processes.
- Implement best practices in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain automation.
- Spearhead the transformation of warehouse and logistics operations, shifting from traditional methods to innovative and efficient practices
- Lead and manage change projects to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the implementation of new warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including procurement, sales, and customer service teams, to align logistics strategy with business objectives.
- Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate service-level agreements.
- Oversee the redesign of inbound and outbound logistics processes, focusing on efficiency and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance across all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience successfully delivering change management projects within warehouse, logistics, and supply chain transformation.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Experience implementing warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in the plumbing, heating, or construction materials industry is advantageous but not essential.
- A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, project management, or a related field is preferred.
