Atlantic Search has been retained by a fast-scaling SaaS company to appoint a VP of Data Strategy. We’re seeking a commercially-minded technology leader to define and execute a company-wide data strategy. You’ll leverage your deep data expertise across both platform and analytics to build and own a modern data environment that delivers trusted, actionable insights and unlocks new sources of commercial and customer value.
This is a pivotal leadership position, reporting to the CIO with core alignment of the CFO office, with significant ownership in defining the business systems and data strategy across Product, Finance, GTM, and Legal.

What You'll Accomplish
- Define a Scalable Data Strategy: Develop and execute a clear roadmap around the business systems, software and data flows that aligns data capabilities with business goals, customer needs, and growth plans.
- Unlock Business Intelligence: Lead initiatives that turn raw data into actionable commercial intelligence, enabling timely, insight-driven decisions across all functions. You should be ready to experiment and grow with new tools in the AI and ML space.
- Champion an AI / Data-Driven Culture: Promote a shared language of metrics and data literacy that empowers every team to use insights effectively.
- Partner for Growth: Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure data strategy directly supports revenue, customer experience, and operational success.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure data is secure, trusted, and compliant through effective policies, frameworks, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence, including senior leadership experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Expertise in working with teams who design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems. You’ve overseen, or even participated hands-on, with teams working with modern data orchestration technologies including: dbt, Snowplow, Airflow and Google-based data stacks including BigQuery.
- Demonstrated success aligning data investments for business systems with commercial outcomes.
- A proven history of uncovering connections across different business domains and translating them into new data products or strategies.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on ability to drive delivery and value, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset that has relentless curiosity in new technologies.
