OneTwenty, a prominent player in the iGaming and Sports Affiliation industry, is on the lookout for a dedicated and proficient Backend Software Engineer with a strong inclination towards data. The successful candidate will be pivotal in architecting, constructing, and optimizing our backend systems to enhance data-driven decision-making and contribute to our continuous endeavour of delivering superior value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy and maintain scalable and high-availability backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and address technical and design requirements.
- Engage in all phases of software development lifecycle from design to development, and testing, ensuring superb quality deliverables.
- Establish and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance of software.
- Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems.
- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design.
- Conduct data modelling and optimization to support new and existing product features.
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets, providing insights that can steer technical decision-making.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on data-centric projects.
- Proficient in backend programming languages such as PHP, Python, or C#.
- Solid experience with database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and caching solutions.
- Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
- Excellent understanding of data analytics and visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience is desirable.
