Cmt Technician

Description:

Metlab, now part of WH Scott Group, is seeking motivated Lab & Field CMT Technicians to join our dynamic team in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on role, carrying out essential testing and contributing to our commitment to quality and safety in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory and field-testing methods in accordance with standards including BS 1377, EN 933, BS EN 12390, and other geotechnical guidelines.

Develop and apply computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe for the preparation of test reports and certificates, following approved company templates.

Adhere to the Company's documented Quality and Safety systems.

Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and calibration of all company equipment.

Maintain organized and accurate records and files.

Attend and successfully complete training courses on test methods and safety requirements as needed.

Develop a strong understanding of national, international, and client-specific standards relevant to CMT tests and results interpretation.

Qualifications & Experience: Completion of second-level education.

A Civil Engineering degree or a similar qualification is required for certain aspects of the role.
