Credit Risk Analyst

Description:

A leading Financial Services company, is searching for a Credit Analyst to join their growing team. Based in South Co. Dublin, your job as a Credit Analyst is to assess credit data and financial statements to gauge the creditworthiness of clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution of the necessary risk assessment appropriate to each customer and credit application type
• Analyse financial data to determine default risk and prepare reports accordingly.
• Evaluate financial data, such as balance sheets and income statements to determine the level of default risk, including the calculation of financial ratios, interpreting results from decision-making and the preparation of a report to register the required audit trail.
• Make credit decisions within authority; otherwise, prepare files for review by the next line of defense.
• Update ratings/scoring.

Necessary skills and qualifications:

• 1-2 years' of experience as a Credit Analyst (B2B or B2C).
• Relevant university degree (Finance, Accounting, Admin etc.)
• knowledge of credit risks and current requirements in Credit origination.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented, adaptable, and a team player.
