Finance Director

Description:

This position is responsible for the financial accounting, management reporting and business partnering for the organisation’s European footprint with a focus on activity in the UK and Irish subsidiaries. The role is responsible for ensuring that the European Securities Finance team maintains an appropriate financial reporting control framework.

The incumbent for this position will remain fully informed on the Bank's management and financial reporting requirements. They will manage a comprehensive, efficient, and accurate process to meet all management, and the Bank’s Chief Accountant's requirements. This will include oversight of monthly / quarterly management and financial (i.e. legal entity) reporting.

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:

• Both legal entity control expertise and extensive capital markets experience with the ability to act as a credible business partner for business and infrastructure heads.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and control frameworks.
• Ability to act as a credible business partner.
• Experience in optimizing Return on Equity and managing P&L drivers.
• Previous experience managing teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to keep abreast of industry trends.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Leadership skills with a focus on coaching and development.
