The Finance Manager – Management Accounting will take responsibility for the preparation and review of management accounting information for ILA Retail, Irish Life Financial Services and Ark Life. This will include reporting on actual data as well as budgeting and forecasting for Costs, Headcount & Fixed Assets.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Management Accounting, the key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the management accounting team for ILFS in meeting all deliverables for ILA Retail and Irish Life Financial Services to IL Group and any Third Party Administration (TPA) contracts
• Prepare management accounting result for ILA Retail & ILFS in line with IL Group reporting requirements in line with Group requirements
• Reporting/Forecasting for ILFS on Costs, Headcount and Fixed Assets
• Working with ILFS to manage the budgets for Costs, Headcount and Fixed Assets
• Ensure that there is a strong control environment within the management accounting team and that key controls and reconciliation processes are kept up to date
• Drive the development of accounting systems and processes
• To drive the personal and professional development of the staff in the financial accounting team
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
• Engage and assist in the management of Strategy reporting
• Have experience of developing and managing a team in the delivery of results under tight deadlines
• Qualified accountant with a number of years relevant post qualification experience
• Experience in the preparation of management accounting information of an Irish financial services company
• Proven track record in working to tight timelines in a team environment
• Extensive experience of accounting systems – Essbase, SAP, Tableau
• Ability to manage effective ongoing relationships with key stakeholders and influence outcomes
• Good analytical ability and the ability to make decisions under pressure with a track record of proposing delivering process and / or system improvements
