An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a growing Legal practice in Dublin City Centre, for an experience Financial Accountant.
The successful candidate will work as a key member of the Finance Team. The primary purpose of the role is to help with month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cashflow and liquidity management and analysis and control. The candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller
- Assisting with month end processes and procedures;
- Preparation and review of financial and management reports;
- Variance analysis and Balance sheet reconciliations;
- Assist with financial budgeting and forecasting processes;
- Cashflow and liquidity management;
- Preparation of annual budgets;
- Preparation of year end account and overseeing annual audit;
- Managing tax report, payments and VAT etc;
- Working with colleagues on the Finance Team to enable the smooth running of the Department;
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations for certain clients;
Building strong relationships with the Partners and Managers of the firm as well as externally with clients;
- Liaising with external auditor, financial and tax advisers;
- Developing/refining day-to-day tasks and implementing process improvement;
- Analysis of Fee Earner WIP, Targets, Chargeable Hours, New Business Analysis etc.
- Prior experience working as a member of the Finance Team in a Professional Services environment;
- Ability to analyse and interpret data, to assess its value and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way;
- Experience in performance management and problem solving;
- Effective core business capabilities including negotiating and influencing, stakeholder management and presentation skills;
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
- Ability to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities;
- Excellent analytical / reconciliation skills;
- High proficiency in Microsoft excel;
- Good knowledge of Law Society Regulations;
- Good knowledge and experience within a client-focused environment;
- Must be a team player, self-motivated, tenacious and resilient.
