Financial Accountant

Our Client a leading Financial Services business in operation for over 40 years are the largest and best established credit management business in Ireland and are looking to attract a Financial Accountant for their business in Galway. Reporting to the Finance Manager and as a critical member of the Finance function, the successful candidate will partner with Managers and other support teams across the business to deliver on projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of month end accounts for three separate legal entities
• Preparation of VAT returns for the companies including bimonthly returns, EC sales lists and cross border disclosures
• Oversight of the daily banking
• Supervision of staff including banking and onboarding
• Liaise with external client on issues/queries as they arise
• Process improvements covering nominal ledger and customer relationship management (CRM) system
• Supervision of client invoicing
• Stakeholder engagement across the business with the wider Finance and Operations Teams and Clients
• Ad hoc duties as they arise
