Financial Modelling Analyst

 

Description:

This role is ideal for candidates coming from Big 4/Top 10 firms or similar analytical environments, who are looking to transition into an FP&A role in a commercial setting. You should have:

  • 2–4 years’ PQE, ideally from a Top 10 firm
  • Strong Excel-based financial modelling skills
  • Experience with PowerPoint for structuring and presenting commercial insights
  • A problem-solving, outcome-focused mindset with strong commercial judgement

 

Role and Reporting Lines

This role reports directly into the FP&A Lead and will work closely with other finance and business stakeholders.

  • Financial Modelling – Build, maintain and improve Excel-based financial models for business decision-making
  • Forecasting & Budgeting – Support scenario planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Commercial Analysis – Translate business problems into structured, driver-based models
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Communicate insights and recommendations through clear PowerPoint presentations
  • Project Management – Handle multiple workstreams with high attention to analytical rigour
  • Model Standards – Ensure transparency, consistency, and efficiency across all modelling work
  • Presentation Support – Assist with preparing executive-level materials for commercial decisions
  • Tooling & Optimisation – Leverage tools such as Power Query, PivotTables, and Named Ranges for effective outputs
