Description:
This is a front facing role with daily interactions with Young People and members of the public. Access to home working is occasional and is offered based on responsibilities of the role and the needs of the Service and Young People.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To undertake initial mental health assessments with young people focusing on both strengths and difficulties.
- To provide evidence informed brief, therapeutic interventions to young people.
- To conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans as appropriate.
- To participate in clinical supervision and line management for support and guidance.
- To work in accordance with Jigsaw Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
- To participate in case management meetings, team meetings and other meetings as deemed necessary.
- To liaise and consult with other professionals in supporting the mental health of young people attending Jigsaw.
- To fulfill obligations as per the Children First Act 2015 and comply with the Jigsaw Child Protection and Welfare policy.
- To maintain accurate, confidential records of practice using the Jigsaw Data System and to cooperate with reporting requirements as per the Jigsaw Record Keeping Policy.
- To comply with responsibilities under the Data Protection Acts 1988, 2003 & 2018 (GDPR).
- To share information with the Jigsaw Clinical Manager, Service Manager, Jigsaw team and other stakeholders, as appropriate in accordance with good practice.
- To contribute to research, audit and evaluation of the service as required.
- To maintain professional and personal boundaries.
- To engage in outreach work as required.
- To demonstrate an open and flexible attitude to work at all times.
- To be flexible regarding working hours in line with the needs of the service, i.e. evenings.
