About the Role:
Principal responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Golf Ireland Senior Management Team to deliver the Strategic Plan “Golf For Everyone” with specific responsibility for Communications, Marketing and Commercial objectives.
- Lead the implementation of Golf Ireland’s commercial, communications and marketing operational plans in consultation with the Chief Executive.
- Lead and manage the output of the Communications and Marketing Department, including management of the staff team, ensuring that Golf Ireland’s values, brand and vision are effectively portrayed across all communications platforms.
- Source and negotiate new commercial partnerships that will generate new revenue streams for Golf Ireland using existing and new assets.
- Drive relationships with digital partners to uncover deep and meaningful insights and grow commercial opportunities.
- Foster productive relationships with Golf Ireland’s funding bodies including but not limited to Sport Ireland, Sport NI and The R&A.
About the Candidate:
Experience & Knowledge:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent.
- At least seven years’ experience working in a commercial role handling areas of sponsorship and/or marketing with proven experience in securing and managing contracts.
- Proven experience in leading a team in implementing commercial, communications and/or marketing strategies.
- Understanding of or experience working in the Irish sporting sector.
