We are now at a hugely exciting juncture with significant global expansion plans. To support the

Group’s ambitious strategy, we are now looking to recruit a Director of Risk and Compliance. The

Director of Risk and Compliance will establish and lead a streamlined, coordinated and cohesive

approach to governance, risk and compliance to strengthen and support a strong and effective

risk management culture across the DM Group. The Director of Risk and Compliance will play a

pivotal role in ensuring the DM Group achieves its governance, risk and compliance strategy.

What you will be doing 

 

Ensuring senior management remain informed of regulatory, legislative and best practice
changes and their obligations under these changes and how they impact the Group 

Responsible for maintenance and continued effectiveness of the Risk Registers for all
group entities to ensure they remain current and fit for purpose 

Providing regular reports to boards of directors and CEO detailing any current issues or
information as required. 

Corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders 
Working with business lines in relation to KYC, AML procedures and independence

consultations 

Continually promoting a risk awareness culture within the business 
Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations whilst taking a commercial and practical

approach to risk based challenges and offer appropriate solutions 

Monitoring the client on-boarding teams driving efficiency in all processes to most
effectively adhere to our procedures and risk appetite 

Ensuring that the company adheres to all applicable legal standards as well as internal
policies and procedures 

Ongoing monitoring of the regulatory environment in which the company operates,
assessing the impact of any changes and determining the appropriate response 

Assisting in communicating and/or providing training to management and staff on risk and
compliance related matters 

Reporting to Regulators and Professional Bodies as required 
Managing, in co-operation with Business Line Lead, any Regulatory audits that occur 
Continually driving for enhanced efficiency and client service (internal and external) in all

Risk and Compliance processes 

Managing the successful delivery of compliance projects ensuring technical excellence and
a practical/business driven approach. Supporting and leading on Group projects as

assigned

What will you need 

Strong knowledge of and background in financial services entities and professional and
financial service entity regulation 

Demonstrate experience of senior management and stakeholder management. 
Be a self-starter and a pragmatic problem solver 
Possess a drive to continuously build and master key technical, functional and professional

skills 

An ability to effectively manage a demanding workload with tight deadlines in a fast-paced,
challenging and demanding environment 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
A legal entitlement to work in Ireland
