Barden are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a growing SME owned by a successful entrepreneur. Due to recent growth they are now inviting a highly skilled accounting professional to join their finance team as an Senior Accountant.

This is a broad accounting position and the ideal next step for a financial accountant looking to progress. The opportunity will allow exposure to the full accounting process for the company, as well as getting involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of financial statements;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts;
• Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting process;
• Monitor and strengthen the control environment;
• Manage cash flow;
• Oversee and review operational finance;
• Ensure tax compliance;
• Prepare scenario analysis to support business decisions;
• Assist with the external audit process;
• Identify opportunities from improvements and efficiencies in current process.
• Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Qualified accounting professional or qualified by experience;
• Minimum 3 years experience within an SME environment;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Self-starter and ability to prioritise deadlines;
• Strong technical ability and good attention to detail;
• Advanced excel user skills preferred.
