Senior Accountant

 

Description:

Our client, a multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their RTR team to cover a 6-month contract. Based at their Shared Services Centre in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. The team is based on-site 4 days and 1 day from home and enjoy flexible start and finish times.

 

 

Senior Accountant responsibilities Include:

  • Accurate and timely reporting of intercompany transactions
  • Collaborating with global affiliates to resolve queries efficiently
  • Assisting in identifying root causes of aged balances
  • Prompt escalation of issues related to intercompany GRIR accounts
  • Managing month-end intercompany reconciliations and addressing discrepancies promptly
  • Providing reports and analysis to support the audit process
  • Supporting the German team in MEC activities initially, with a transition as the Intercompany COE team absorbs processes from other SSO entities
  • Assisting in the implementation of the Centre of Excellence team and training future CoE team members
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Cultivating relationships with intercompany CoE teams in other regions
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects as needed

Key Requirements for Senior Accountant:

  • Previous experience, ideally within a Shared Service Centre or multinational corporation
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA), either partially or fully completed
  • Familiarity with SAP an advantage
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in PowerBi considered advantageous
