Senior Auditor

ProSource are delighted to announce that we are working with a leading accountancy practice in Cork City. Our client is seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join their Audit team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of public sector clients, delivering high-quality audit and advisory services while gaining valuable leadership experience.

The role involves a mix of internal audit and external statutory audit assignments, with opportunities to contribute across corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver statutory internal and external audit services to public sector clients.
• Prepare and review high-quality planning documents and reports for client delivery.
• Present engagement results to senior management, audit committees, and boards.
• Lead and support teams on a range of assignments, providing coaching and mentoring.
• Build and manage strong client relationships while ensuring deadlines are met.

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years’ Irish Practice experience, ideally in external or internal audit.
• Knowledge of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies is a strong advantage.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure.
