What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety, quality, and compliance systems.
• Managing HACCP systems, regulatory and certification audits, and ensuring robust SOPs and quality assurance programmes are in place.
• Championing a strong food safety culture through training, coaching, and mentoring staff.
• Conducting regular audits, inspections, and reviews to maintain best-in-class quality standards.
• Taking ownership of customer relationships, resolving quality issues effectively, and ensuring continuous improvement.
• Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions.
• Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene policies are met at all times.
• Conduct microbiological and chemical sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record in technical or quality management within food manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in microbiological and chemical sampling of raw materials and finished products.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
• Strong ability to manage and maintain technical product specifications across multiple categories.
• Expertise in ensuring ingredient labelling and declarations are fully compliant with EU & UK legislation.
• Natural leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, train, and develop teams.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and reporting tools.
