Description:
The role will be based in Ireland, operating on a secondment basis to Allianz Ireland. You will work closely with Irish colleagues and provide underwriting expertise in the niche area of Engineering Insurance. You will service Broker accounts across all of Ireland, ensuring you underwrite policies within defined parameters in a compliant, consistent and profitable manner.
On a daily basis, you'll ensure customer satisfaction by building rapport and providing excellent service to external and internal customers. Your role will be crucial in ensuring customer new business growth and retention: -
- Build strong relationships with brokers, negotiating effectively, and providing excellent customer service at all times
- Develop relationships with the Allianz Ireland distribution sales team to support the Allianz Ireland insurance account. Work closely with that team to visit key broker partners regularly throughout the year.
- Work with the Irish Engineer Surveyor team to understand high and low capacity areas and manage customer service opportunities.
- Handle general customers' queries via the telephone and in writing within agreed service standards.
- Underwrite new business enquiries received by brokers, actively engage in prospecting activities to secure new business growth.
- Underwrite existing business and mid-term adjustments including analysis and compilation of data for referral.
- Negotiate within authority and referring where appropriate to maximise customer growth including persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action.
- Anticipate likely objections and build effective responses
- Work efficiently and proactively to offer renewal terms in line with SLAs.
- Support the wider teams by being enthusiastic and accommodating and by challenging yourself to go out of your comfort zone.
- Provide suggestions to continuously improve the business in an ever-changing environment
- Inspection and Computer product awareness would be advantageous
